Vila Real Club with “good” performance

Vila Real Club with “good” performance

The Vila Real Club was represented by its under-13 male and female teams. The female team, consisting of Camila Pereira (under-9), Mafalda Monteiro (under-11) and Francisca Rebelo (the only under-13), achieved two wins and two losses. In the end, they finished in 4th place, tied on points with the team that came in 3rd place, with the Vila Real Club team being the only team to beat the Stª Teresinha da Madeira team, which went on to become national champions.

The men's team, made up of two under-11 athletes (Josué Penelas and Rodrigo Carneiro) and just one under-13 athlete (Martim Rodrigues), performed well, although they did not progress beyond the group stage.

Table Tennis training takes place every day at the Araucária School Center, between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm until July 31st.

At a time when information is more important than ever, support regional and local journalism. Access to most of VTM's news is (still) free, but it is not free of charge. Journalism costs money and requires investment. This contribution is a way of directly supporting A Voz de Trás-os-Montes and its journalists. Our contribution is independent and local journalism, but not only that. It is continuing to inform despite all the contingencies of confinement, without having stopped for a single day.
